Validation by Chance or......

In the fall of 2024 I got invited to an overnight Paranormal Investigation by a close friend’s Team. We would be investigating Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, TN. This was my first larger scale investigation. I and some friends had done Seance’s, Meditations, rituals, and some other things at a local spiritual place but this was the first time I’d be in a place like this. And let me just tell you, SRS Paranormal does this stuff RIGHT.

    There was talk of people seeing a few different entities at the prison including one in  Maximum Security. That area is not open to the general public due to its’ state of decay and disarray. It’s definitely been broken into and vandalized over the years as well. The story goes that some people had broken in and “dome some stuff” in there and now there was some kind of residual energy or even a doorway of sorts in there.

     Let me just say the place is Awesome at night. An outstanding experience in the darkness for sure.

    Our investigation in the older portion of the prison was eventful. We used several of the usual tools; Recorders, spirit box, pendulums, motion detectors, thermal imaging, even Estes Method and Human Pendulum. Even our old school Polaroid camera. Got a few small things on multiple devices. The Mediums in the group got some interesting things for sure.

     Eventually it was time to go to Max Security. This area of the prison was built in the later years of it being active. It’s noticeably different than the rest of the facility. Some of the main reasons it’s not available to the General Public is its state. It’s not great. It has some precarious walkways, a vertical stair/ladder thing to the control center that’s absolutely dangerous to climb, and part of it is very cluttered with the old showers that have been pulled from the cells.

     I was carrying my friend’s professional Video camera that cost more than the car I was driving so I was being extra cautious while we were on the upper levels. We were getting some low light shots and the presence of 2 Bats flying around made it an even more surreal experience.

     We had split up. 3-4 went one way to the blocks and 3-4 another way. The mediums started getting something. A presence. A “bull headed” figure. A tall, as one described it, “demonic” presence. I definitely saw a dark mass that would move around.

      We ended up in one of the blocks, I couldn’t tell you which. We hadn’t called for the other team. They had come to us. We were discussing what we had seen and felt and they described similar. I study the Magick of Solomon and, of course, the Goetia, and further Demonology. This sounded like one of the 72.

     I couldn’t put my finger on the name. One of the mediums was saying names that began with M. Different syllabilcations, different vowels. Then it hit me. The 21st Spirit of the Goetia; Marax. Aka; Morax, Farax, and a few other names. I blurted that out. And it was as if the mediums had a revelation. They asked me about him. I gave them my best quick description; an Earl with Legions under him. He is said to teach Astronomy, gives familiars, etc etc. I told them the description actually matches as well.

      During this discussion we all eventually realized we had established a near perfect circle of bodies. And the circle was slowly shrinking. All unintentional. As if we were being pushed that way. We noticed it and decided to get out of there.

      Back at our Base of Operations for the evening we spoke with the 2 ladies who facilitate the overnight investigations. They asked if we got anything up there. We described what we experienced. They confirmed that we weren’t the first people to mention the tall “Minotaur” like presence.

      After the investigation ended we went back to our rental, discussed it some, and got some rest. We headed home after resting a few hours.

      When we arrived home, after unpacking, and getting settled in I went to my bookshelf and pulled out The Goetia of Dr. Rudd edited by Dr Stephen Skinner and David Rankine. Plopped it down on the table and randomly opened it. DIRECTLY To the main page of Marax. It was as if it were saying, “here is what you experienced”. My wife witnessed it herself.

      Of course I studied about him some. I Have no idea why he would be in that facility but I figure if we go back, I’m better prepared to approach and ask questions. And even if we don’t go back, maybe one day I will attempt audience with him. The Goetia and conversation with these entities is not to be taken lightly and I intend to be well prepared before attempting something of that nature.

       There have been multiple times that one of my books revealed things to me in similar ways. I may talk about some of them another time. I Find it fascinating when things like this occur. The Universe telling you that you’re on the right path or laying in your lap the very information you seek.
